There is a good reason to celebrate this week due to the successfully completed project and the grand opening of our brand new Shell Petrol Station at Westpark, Wellington. With the Mayor present at the official opening ceremony on 5 March, it was a fantastic occasion.
This represents multiple successes for our local area, not only providing people with a very convenient and brand new filling station, but employing local people also with the creation of more jobs. Our own local workforce built the new Shell Garage and should be proud of the near £1m job completed.
The new Shell Station is unusual, built on a brand new greenfield site, and with tremendous presence with its unique arched canopy. It houses a Budgens supermarket, a Subway (with outdoor picnic tables), and a Costa Express.
Situated near to the M5, the convenience for the local community is obvious for all to see, and the owner John Mason is delighted with the quality and speed with which SCF has worked, as always, beating industry build standards, and completed ahead of time. With large HGV areas, a car wash, jet wash and being a 24hour site, business will no doubt be booming in no time creating further jobs for local people.
Shaun Stacey, Director SCF, said “The whole team at SCF has worked incredibly hard to complete another successful project, and thanks must go to Bob Davey, Ian Smith, and the whole team; we wish John Mason from Pereguine Retail many years of successful trading with his new site. We shall certainly all be using it!”
