The project included the installation of two below ground 100,000-litre double skin fuel tanks and new fuel lines. The latest Gilbarco pumps with new petrol interceptors were installed. The existing car wash was then upgraded with a new jet wash installation. The team also constructed a large forecourt shop with customer and staff amenities.
The project was originally delayed for 12 months due to Severn Trent Water requirements and regulations to allow the diversion of the existing foul water drain through the site in a new location through the forecourt, this task had to be completed before work could commence.
A 50,000-gallon below-ground water harvest storage tank was installed to supply 50% of the car wash requirements.
